Double-coat spa • Nassau & Suffolk

Mobile de-shedding & coat care
on Long Island.

A thorough bath and brush-out can help release loose undercoat. Our double-coat spa brings that coat-focused care to your home in a private mobile salon.

A better appointment

Care for the undercoat. Keep expectations clear.

Our double-coat spa is a bath and de-shedding package. It focuses on coat-appropriate washing, drying, and brush-out care to remove loose hair. The visit also includes the grooming essentials described in our pricing guide, such as nails and ears.

Dogs such as Labradors, golden retrievers, collies, and shepherds can have very different coat density and brushing needs. Tell us about your dog’s current coat, weight, and previous grooming experience so we can determine whether this package is a suitable match.

De-shedding is coat maintenance, not a promise of a hair-free home. Dogs continue to shed, and the amount of loose coat varies from one visit to the next. We plan the work around your dog’s comfort, handling needs, and the condition of the coat.

How it works

From booking to
freshly groomed.

01

Describe the coat

Give us your dog’s weight and tell us about loose undercoat, tangles, or sensitivity to brushing and drying.

02

Confirm the package

We discuss whether the double-coat spa fits your dog and whether additional time or handling may be needed.

03

Wash, dry & brush out

Coat-appropriate bathing, drying, and brush-out care help remove loose hair during the private appointment.

04

Discuss ongoing care

Ask what your dog’s coat needs between visits and how to plan future grooming around its condition.

Plan your appointment

A clear starting point
for your pet’s price.

These examples come from our current pricing tables. Match your pet’s weight and coat condition to the right service before booking.

Published package prices before NYS sales tax. Matting, add-ons, or special handling may change the total. These are service examples, not quotes for individual pets.

What pet parents should know

De-shedding is not a haircut

The double-coat spa focuses on bathing and brush-out care. If you want a trim or haircut, discuss it separately rather than assuming it is included.

Size is part of the plan

Weight, coat density, mobility, and dryer tolerance affect the work. Published large-dog prices do not replace an individual suitability check.

Tell us about coat concerns

Let us know about tender areas or difficult tangles before booking. Grooming does not diagnose or treat skin problems; ask your veterinarian about unusual hair loss or irritated skin.

Common questions

Helpful answers
before you book.

Will a de-shedding appointment stop my dog shedding?+

No. It helps remove loose hair during the appointment, but normal shedding continues. Results vary with the dog’s coat and its condition.

What does the double-coat spa include?+

The published package is bath and de-shedding care, with washing, drying, and brush-out work plus the grooming essentials on our pricing page. Confirm any extra services when booking.

Do you shave dogs as part of de-shedding?+

A shave or haircut is not part of the standard double-coat spa description. Tell us about matting and any styling request so we can discuss the appropriate coat-care plan.

How much does mobile de-shedding cost?+

Double-coat spa prices are based on weight. The examples show cash and credit-card prices before NYS sales tax. Additional coat work or special handling may affect the total.

Can a large or senior dog have this service?+

Suitability depends on size, mobility, standing tolerance, and handling needs. Share those details before booking so the groomer can assess the appointment requirements.

Is de-shedding available in Freeport and other Long Island towns?+

Freeport is included in our Nassau coverage. We also list communities throughout Nassau and Suffolk; appointments depend on your exact address, access, and current route availability.
